Currently active and serving the Rector, Associate Pastors and Parisioners of St. Joseph’s Basilica, I record the minutes of the Executive and regular PPC meetings, as well as promote volunteerism in the Parish.<\/p>\n

Chair of a decision-making board whose mandate was to facilitate the development, provision, operation and maintenance of 658 units of non-profit municipal housing accommodations.<\/p>\n

Worked closely with property management, City Planning and Law Services, the community and various agencies. Reported to City Council.<\/p>\n

Successful at putting forth a motion that created new housing units (none had been built in 10 years) and instrumental in networking and engaging stakeholders in the process so we could receive approximately $6 million in a Provincial Government funding bid to build 31 additional units of row housing (Fraser Townhouses).<\/p>\n

Now, homeEd has over 800 rental units available to those in need.<\/p>\n

Led modernization of outdated organization and restructured areas of insurance, reserve and capital investment, capital replacements, computerized financial systems and revamped bylaws.<\/p>\n

Completed tax returns for low-income individuals and families throughout the City of Edmonton as an independent travelling volunteer. Brought my service to Saskatchewan when I relocated.<\/p>\n

Was trained and updated on an annual basis by Canada Revenue Agency.<\/p>\n

Worked with business owners and leaders in the downtown core to increase customers and market growth in a stagnant economy. Represented the Downtown residents as the Marketing Committee Chair of DECA.<\/p>\n

Our board and committees utilized community asset and capacity building skills to respond to the \u201cCapital City Downtown Development Plan\u201d and connected with key stakeholders in government, community and businesses.<\/p>\n

Successful at fundraising $90,000 to operate a community office and maintain a 1.5 person position.<\/p>\n

Assisted the Archbishop or presiding priests in masses. Responsible for leading mass on Sunday at 5pm.<\/p>\n

Helped grow and facilitate activities to foster youth engagement in the parish.<\/p>\n

Worked with parish staff to coordinate the fundraising and travel to Toronto for World Youth Day.<\/p>\n
