Summary of Work Completed<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Autism Edmonton enhances the lives of families and\u00a0individuals living with autism, by providing life-long support and\u00a0creating awareness, acceptance, and opportunities in the Edmonton community.<\/p>\n

Per the request of Lauren McGuinness, Autism Edmonton\u2019s Manager of Programs and Services, I prepared a report\u00a0to provide input and a preliminary analysis regarding Autism\u00a0Edmonton\u2019s IT infrastructure, which ultimately plays a key role in managing Autism Edmonton\u2019s data\u00a0and information, their community outreach, and effectiveness in communicating with members.<\/p>\n

After discussing my role as a volunteer for the \u201cNavigation Project\u201d, which would have involved manually updating and checking links on their\u00a0\u201cNext Steps\u201d PDFs, I had many questions and concerns regarding the current physical and digital tools and\u00a0systems in place at Autism Edmonton.<\/p>\n

Lauren asked me to offer my professional point-of-view\u00a0and feedback on the current state of IT, the website and user design, their membership management and their existing communications approach at\u00a0Autism Edmonton. I took into consideration the limited information and resources that Autism Edmonton had available.<\/p>\n

I also prepared an essay based on my Management course assignment at Athabasca University.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
